Authorization for publication

If your manuscript is accepted, the authorization for publication must be signed by all authors. The document should be scanned and sent to the editor in PDF format.

General guidelines
Instruções gerais

Papers should be written preferably in English. They can also be written in Portuguese, as long as the title, abstract and keywords are in English.

Papers should not be excessively long (for example, more than 12 pages). Font Calibri 9 should be used throughout the text. Font Calibri 8 should be used in figure and table captions. Please follow spacings used in this template without indentation, except in quotations and itemizations.

O comprimento máximo recomendado do artigo é de doze páginas, incluindo referências e figuras. O font utilizado no corpo do texto deve ser Calibri tamanho 9. Títulos de seções devem ter espaçamento anterior de 16 pontos. Parágrafos devem ter espaçamento anterior de 8 pontos, sem recuo na primeira linha.

Titles, sections and subsections

All titles must have the first letter in uppercase and all other words in lowercase, except when appropriate, as illustrated in this template. References must be represented in the text body by a numeral between square brackets. They should be shown in order of appearance and respect either the ABNT 6023/2002 or the IEEE format .

Quotations should be indented to the right, but italic font and “quotation marks” can also be used.

Os títulos do artigo, das seções e das subseções devem ter a primeira letra em maiúscula e as demais em minúscula, como ilustrado neste exemplo. Indicações de referências bibliográficas devem ser representadas no corpo do artigo por um numeral entre colchetes. As referências devem aparecer na ordem de ocorrência no texto. Seu formato deve seguir a norma ABNT 6023/2002.

No caso de citações, recomenda-se sua endentação à direita. Podem-se usar, além da endentação, “aspas” e texto em itálico.

Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement

Espaço Energia (EE) is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards. Aiming at providing readers with a scientific and technical journal of high quality, EE follows the principles listed below:

The editor-in-chief is responsible for deciding which of the papers submitted to the journal should be published, based on the feedback of members of the international and the editorial boards. The evaluation process is of the type double-blind, seeking a non-biased evaluation process, considering only the content, the knowledge and the scientific merit of all manuscripts.

The editor-in-chief as well as the international and advisory boards, henceforth referred to as "the editors", can choose to ignore any material that breaks legal requirements regarding libel, copyright infringement and plagiarism. The editors must ensure the confidentiality of the submitted works until they are published, except in the case of suspicion of double submission. In case the editors decide not to publish a material, the manuscript should not be used for other purposes without the express written consent of the author. The editor of a submitted manuscript must not have a stake in the authors.

The editorial board is composed by the actual reviewers of EE. They assist the editors in taking the decision of publishing a submitted manuscript. Reviewers are required to treat the manuscript received for peer review as confidential and must not use the information obtained through peer review to gain personal advantage. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest with any of the authors, companies or institutions connected to the papers.

Authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works. When authors use other materials, the sources should be cited appropriately. Any attempt at plagiarism should be followed by rejection of the manuscript submitted. Authors should not submit the same work or describe essentially the same research in more than one journal. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously constitutes unethical publication behaviour, unless otherwise specified.

Declaração de ética e prevenção de má conduta em publicações

A Espaço Energia (EE) está comprometida em manter os mais altos padrões éticos. Com o objetivo de fornecer aos leitores uma revista científica e técnica de alta qualidade, a EE segue os princípios listados abaixo:

O editor-chefe é responsável por decidir quais dos artigos submetidos ao periódico devem ser publicados, com base no parecer dos membros dos comitês internacional e editorial. O processo de avaliação é do tipo "duplamente cego", buscando um processo de avaliação não tendencioso, considerando apenas o conteúdo, o conhecimento e o mérito científico de todos os manuscritos.

O editor-chefe, bem como os conselhos consultivo e internacional, doravante referidos como "os editores", podem optar por ignorar qualquer material que viole requisitos legais relativos a difamação, violação de direitos autorais e plágio. Os editores devem garantir a confidencialidade dos trabalhos submetidos até que sejam publicados, exceto no caso de suspeita de dupla apresentação. Caso os editores decidam não publicar um material, o manuscrito não deve ser utilizado para outros fins sem o consentimento expresso por escrito do autor. O editor de um manuscrito submetido não deve ter nenhum tipo de interesse relacionado aos autores.

O conselho editorial é composto pelos revisores da EE. Eles auxiliam os editores a tomar a decisão de publicar um manuscrito submetido. Os revisores são obrigados a tratar os manuscritos recebidos no processo de revisão como confidenciais e não devem usar as informações obtidas pelo processo de revisão para obter vantagens pessoais. Os revisores não devem considerar manuscritos em que tenham conflitos de interesse com qualquer um dos autores, empresas ou instituições ligadas aos artigos.

Os autores devem garantir que seus trabalhos sejam inteiramente originais. Quando os autores usam outros materiais, as fontes devem ser apropriadamente citadas. Qualquer tentativa de plágio deve ter como consequência a rejeição do manuscrito submetido. Os autores não devem submeter o mesmo trabalho ou descrever essencialmente a mesma pesquisa em mais de um periódico. Submeter o mesmo manuscrito a mais de um periódico simultaneamente constitui um comportamento antiético, a menos que especificado de outra forma.
